Susie Castillo
Miss Massachusetts USA
2003 and
Miss USA 2003
In 2003, this Puerto Rican and Dominican beauty
became only the third-ever Latina to become Miss USA,
prompting People en Español to name
her one of the, “25 Most Beautiful People”. Today,
Susie is establishing herself quite a fan-base,
co-hosting MTV’s wildly
popular video countdown show, TRL (Total
Request Live), straight out of NYC’s
Times Square. She can also be heard on her very
own bilingual radio show, TRLatino,
a countdown show that mixes mainstream music
with up-and-coming Latin sounds.
An aspiring actor, Hollywood found Susie to
be talented enough to call on her early in her
career. She has guest-starred on such notable
shows as ABC’s My
Wife and Kids and UPN’s Half & Half.
Her poise in front of the camera also led to
various hosting jobs, most notably the live telecast
of the Miss Teen USA Pageant this
past August. Susie has also hosted The I
Do Diaries: Instant Wedding on Lifetime
and The TV Guide Channel’s
special on the Miss USA pageant.
She was also a guest commentator during the live
telecast of the 2004 Miss USA Pageant,
and even shared the stage with Regis Philbin
when she co-hosted Live! With Regis and Kelly.
